Los Angeles singer-songwriter Paula Fong commands attention the moment she takes the stage. She pairs pure-toned clarity with a soulful power that defies her small stature. Her sound traverses the full landscape of roots music—from Breton French Celtic influences to heart tugging old time to country swing to rockin’ singer/songwriter strength. Her genre versatility draws comparisons to Patty Griffin, Linda Ronstadt and Karla Bonoff. Whether performing solo with acoustic guitar, alongside multi-instrumentalist Phil Glenn (Moonsville, Show Ponies), or with a full band, Fong captivates with warmth, surprising intensity, and grit. 2026 brings a bold statement of her versatility through a 11 song full-length album produced by Justin James Sinclair (ROSIE, Jenny Owen Youngs, Weezer, Kate Micucci, Train), which was well received by publications including American Songwriter, Americana UK, Glide Mag, with single "River Run" placing it as a semifinalist in American Songwriter's 2026 Road Ready contest.

Meet my Friends!

The Musicians

Abby Posner (she/they)

Abby Posner is a long-time friend and bandmate! She's been a working musician in Los Angeles for the past 18 + years and is best known for her ability to play nearly any instrument that she can get her hands on, twisting genres, and pushing the boundaries of folk, roots, electronic, and pop music making her "Genre Fluid." If you have seen Abby perform live, you know she can play a fierce lead-blues guitar solo, or throw down a complex Earl Scruggs banjo riff. You also may have spotted her playing drums, mandolin, or bass while using her looping pedal. In addition to her versatility, she puts passion and soul into everything she does. Her energy is comparable to Chris Thile of Nickel Creek, and The Lumineers.

Brother James (he/him)

Not only the phenomenally talented producer of Paula's latest album, Brother James is also an artist and spiritual singer-songwriter in his own right whose genre-bending arrangements blend with contemplative storytelling in pursuit of a deep meaningful life. Imagine that Paul Simon, Pete Seeger, and Paul McCartney became monks and then delivered hand-made monastery wine to your door — if that's appealing to you, Brother James' heart-forward indie-folk is for you.

Tashi T (they/them)

Tashi Trueheart (it’s a family name, believe it) grew up in the mountains of Colorado. They are inspired by the intense landscapes that they have called home. You could hear a pin drop at one of Tashi T's intimate live shows. Their heartfelt lyrics and captivating voice are a balm for the weary. Tashi's music explores themes of loss, longing and the question of where do we go from here? all with a sense of humor and poetry.

Phoebe Sanders (she/her)

Phoebe Sanders is a California based banjo player who primarily plays clawhammer style old time music, but she is best known on the internet for her banjo-powered puppets. From traditional wooden jig dolls to paper reindeer to life-sized cardboard creatures of whimsy, Phoebe is pioneering a new way of bringing music to life!

The Artists

Tony Morretti (he/him)

Tony Moretti is a retired architect and longtime resident of Lomita, CA. His tempera paintings are inspired largely by local, day-to-day scenes of the ordinary – things that have been around for a long time. For Tony, these scenes conjure the marching of generations, and provide a calming assurance that life goes on.

Fish Chiesa (he/him)

Fish is the artist responsible for the gorgeous flyer art for this show! In particular, he's known for his blue ink drawings of musicians at live shows from the local LA scene. In his own words “It started as a way to create a tip towards their specific performance, but now it has evolved. I love taking in and recording local scenes. I love taking the tunes they play and letting the harmonies guide the line, the rhythm, the composition, the tone, etc.”
