Winter Grain is Kate and Secily, a duo out of the Lake Tahoe area. Blending Indigo Girls harmonies and John Mayer riffs, they’ve been creating together since 2017. In 2024 they played Newport Folk Festival as an Operation Encore artist. Kate recently retired as an Army helicopter pilot and that story is often found weaving through the band’s lyrics.
